De kicks kregen meer punch, de breaks werden filmischer, de melodie\u00ebn vaak dreigender en de sfeer werd minder \u201chappy gabber\u201d en meer \u201cde loods is dicht, niemand gaat nog naar huis\u201d. Volgens scenegebruik wordt Millennium Hardcore meestal gekoppeld aan hardcore geproduceerd rond het millennium, grofweg vanaf eind jaren 90 tot in de jaren 2000.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"822\" data-end=\"1383\">Voor <a class=\"hcmgp-mention hcmgp-mention-hcmgp_article\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hardcoremaniacs.be\/press\/gabberpedia\/artikel\/gabber\/\"><a class=\"hcmgp-mention hcmgp-mention-hcmgp_article\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hardcoremaniacs.be\/press\/gabberpedia\/artikel\/gabber\/\">@Gabber<\/a><\/a> is Millennium Hardcore belangrijk omdat het de scene opnieuw een serieuzere, donkerdere richting gaf na de commerci\u00eble piek van de jaren 90. De sound bleef herkenbaar hardcore, maar werd minder cartoonachtig en meer gericht op zware kicks, duistere sfeer en betere studioproductie.
