In 2021 the Nike sneaker ‘Air Max BW’ is celebrating it’s 30th anniversary and that’s why Nike has announced a ‘Retro edition’ of the Nike Air Max BW \u2018Persian Violet\u2019. Originally released in 1991, the \u2018BW\u2019 stands for \u2018Big Window.\u2019 (The one on the picture is the original one so not the 2021 release)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exact release date and retail price hasn’t been announced yet, but we will keep you updated. Also we couldn’t find any official Nike press release about this but we did find several sources online confirming the news.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally known as the Air Max IV, the Air Max BW was first introduced to the world in 1991. Representing Nike Running’s transition into the ’90s, the Air Max BW featured increased padding in the collar and overall support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the most iconic features of the Air Max BW is its ‘sharply angled’ line, which implies speed and cutting-edge design. The most recognisable element of the silhouette, however, remains the ‘Big Window’ Nike Air cushioning, from where the shoe gets its name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tinker Hatfield design was initially introduced in three colourways: a black, white and Persian Violet iteration, a clean blend of blue and green tones, and a white, black and Persian Violet look for women. Beefier, bolder and more cushioned, the BW was introduced alongside the Air Max 90 in an ad showcasing its beneficial updates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
